Engineering shapes the world around us, and in Future Engineers, campers in Grades 6-8 will explore how ideas become real-world solutions. Through hands-on activities, campers will investigate different branches of engineering and the skills engineers use every day.
Campers will design, build, test, and improve their own creations while learning about engineering pathways, teamwork, and innovation. The program also features opportunities to connect with UofG engineering mentors, giving campers insight into engineering studies and careers.
Expect to see: Engaging engineering design and build challenges, exploration of multiple engineering disciplines, and opportunities to learn from UofG engineering mentors!
As part of our Promoting Awareness of Girls in Engineering & Science (PAGES) program, we have reserved 1 week of Future Engineers (July 27-31st) for femme/female-identifying & non-binary students who share an interest in STEM.
*Non-PAGES, co-ed, weeks of Future Engineers are also available*
Future Engineers is for youth entering Grades 6, 7 & 8 in September 2026.
Camp will take place Monday-Friday from 9 AM-4 PM. This summer we are offering Extended Care (optional, for an additional flat fee) in which campers can be dropped off starting at 8:10 AM and picked up any time between 4-4:50 PM. You can opt into Extended Care upon registering a camper for a given camp week. Please note that campers in Grade 6 or higher are permitted to be designated for “Self Sign-Out” of themselves and younger siblings. For more information, please visit our website (www.uoguelph.ca/creative-encounters/).
Please do not hesitate to email us at cse@uoguelph.ca if you have any questions and we will get back to you as soon as we can. We are looking forward to another amazing summer of in-person STEM camps!
All of our camps are based out of Albert A. Thornbrough and Richards Building (Engineering Buildings on the U of G’s main campus) unless stated otherwise.
Parents/guardians will be emailed a “Pre-Camp Package” prior to camp with specific pick-up/drop-off locations and further details.
