Build the knowledge and confidence to create positive meaningful experiences for children. The HIGH FIVE Priciples of Healthy Child Development (PHCD) training is Canada's nationally recognized standard for quality recreation and sport programs. Participants will learn the five principles of Healthy Child Development, how to foster positive relationships, managing challenging behaviour, support inclusion, and create safe, engaging environments where every child can thrive. This certification is ideal for recreation staff, coaches, volunteers, teachers, students and anyone working directly with children ages 4-12. Looking for a rewarding job in recreation?

High Five Certification is a requirement for employment with the Town of Grimsby in many child and youth programs including camp, aquatics and other recreation programs.
