About this event
Instructor: Antar Hall Skill Level: Beginner Ages: 18+ Medium: Jewelry Design Total Class Hours: 12.5 Description: This jewelry class is taught by CAD artist Antar Hall, who lived and worked in New York City for global jewelry brands like David Yurman, G.I.A. (Gemological Institute of America), Verragio, Alexis Bittar, and F.I.T. (Fashion Institute of Technology). His work has been worn by many celebrities and featured in numerous high-end fashion publications and websites (i.e., Vogue). In this class, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of Jewelry CAD Design using Rhino 3D, one of the jewelry industry’s most powerful modeling tools. Beginning as novices, students will learn how to create digital jewelry models that can be 3D printed and cast into metal, turning digital designs into wearable jewelry. By the end of the course, students will emerge with a firm foundation in Jewelry CAD Design practices—serving as a springboard for continuing their advancement as creative Jewelry CAD Designers beyond the classroom. *3D printing cost will depend on how many pieces a student desires to print.
