This free, comprehensive class provides instruction on U.S. history, government, and the naturalization interview process to help lawful permanent residents develop the civics literacy required to pass the official U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) exam. Because the official USCIS exam requires applicants to independently read, write, and speak basic English, learners must be at ESOL Level 3 or Level 4 before starting Citizenship class.
