Grades 10 - Adult. Celebrate peak summer flavor with a field-to-table salad experience designed just for adults! Join Grass Lake–based community farm chef Kori Kanayama at her farm in Grass Lake for a refreshing, hands-on workshop centered on the beauty and simplicity of seasonal produce. Participants will walk the farmstead together, harvesting regeneratively grown greens, herbs, and other ripe ingredients straight from the garden.
Back in the farm kitchen, Kori will guide you through building vibrant salads from scratch — balancing textures, colors, and flavors while introducing you to greens and herbs you may never have tried before. You’ll learn how to compose a satisfying salad as a meal, not just a side, and discover easy techniques you can repeat at home all season. Participants will also craft fresh herb-forward dressings and experiment with new flavor combinations. Each person will make a homemade dressing to take home, so please bring a jar or bottle with a tight lid.
Come curious, come hungry, and leave with new skills, new tastes, and inspiration for effortless summer meals. Instructor” Kori Kanayama. 1 class. The rain date for Thursday class is 7/30 and rain date for Saturday class is 8/1.
