About this event
We need YOU for a search and rescue mission! Become an engineer as you build, code, and design search and rescue robots that can navigate natural disasters, deliver vital supplies to remote areas, and help people in need. Using programmable and modular VEX Robotics kits with snap-based rods, controller, multi-port brain, and sensors, learn how robots are used in disaster relief as you and your teammates tackle challenges that mimic real-life search and rescue scenarios. * Simulate exploring a collapsed building by programing your robot to autonomously navigate a maze * Model the rapid delivery of food and water to disaster sites * Clear “debris” from a rockslide by building a clawbot that can lift and move objects. No prior experience required! If you’re curious, love solving problems, and want to use technology to help others, this is the class for you. Are you ready for your rescue mission?
