Pool practices in the winter are the best way to get into kayaking. You can learn a ton there, and, when you are ready, you can take it to the river. Meet up with our experienced, ACA certified instructors as they walk you through the basics of whitewater kayaking, paddling techniques, and boating safety. If you are up for it, you can work on rolling your kayak as well! Participants are encouraged to bring their own boat and gear if they have it, or we can provide everything you need. Our participants gain a working knowledge of kayaking skills and receive individualized feedback. Our goal is to have participants leaving clinics with the interest, skills, and information needed to feel comfortable and confident paddling a kayak and safely exploring our local rivers with us in the summer. Las prácticas en la piscina durante el invierno son la mejor manera de iniciarse en el kayak. Allí podrás aprender muchísimo y, cuando estés listo, podrás aventurarte en el río. Únete a nuestros instructores experimentados y certificados por la ACA, quienes te guiarán a través de los fundamentos del kayak en aguas bravas, las técnicas de remo y la seguridad en la navegación. Si te animas, ¡también podrás practicar la maniobra de volteo del kayak! Se recomienda a los participantes que traigan su propia embarcación y equipo si los tienen, o nosotros podemos proporcionarles todo lo necesario. Nuestros participantes adquieren un conocimiento práctico de las técnicas de kayak y reciben retroalimentación individualizada. Nuestro objetivo es que, al finalizar los cursos, los participantes tengan el interés, las habilidades y la información necesarios para sentirse cómodos y seguros remando en kayak y explorando con nosotros los ríos de la zona durante el verano.
