Description
Let’s visit the Historic Pullman Exhibit Hall located in the Pullman neighborhood of Chicago. George Pullmans was an engineer and industrialist and known for the creation of the sleeping car and the company town, known as Pullman. The tour will provide an interpretive look at the creation of the company town, the Pullman Palace Car Company and their founder, George M. Pullman. After viewing the video and exhibits at the Exhibit Hall, your docent will take you on a short walk of modern neighborhood of Pullman, while providing informed commentary about the history of Pullman, its architecture, and the landmark historic community today. Fee includes transportation, tour, and lunch (Horse Thief Hollow-Pick Item off Menu). Departs from Main Street Recreation Center.
