Description

In this citizen science challenge, cities from across the world compete for the greatest participation. Help Chicagoland rise in the rankings by joining us at a group event or taking part on your own. The City Nature Challenge is a BioBlitz. People from all backgrounds and ages gather to find and document as many organisms as possible within a specific area and timeframe. By using the iNaturalist app on your smartphone or tablet to take photos of plants and wildlife, you will contribute to studies of the diverse life in our region. Children are encouraged to attend to hunt for nature-themed clues along the trail in order to unlock a treasure chest. Under age 14 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
