Description
Join us in celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Illinois Prairie Path with a family bike ride along a portion of the trail. The rides will be led by IPPc volunteers and are open to all ages. Three and ten mile rides will be offered. Along the way, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the history of the Prairie Path. Helmets are required to participate in the rides.Non-riders and riders are welcome to attend. The IPPc volunteers will be on hand to share path history, answer questions about the path, the IPPc organization, volunteer opportunities, and among other items. All registered participants (riders and non-riders) will receive an IPPc 60 year anniversary, Glen Ellyn Park District goodie bag and food from small local businesses (while supplies last). Five special-edition Prairie Path hooded sweatshirts will be raffled during the event. The fun will include music, games, bike rides, prairie path discussion, and so much more. Pre-registration is encouraged online.This event is a partnership with the Illinois Prairie Path not-for-profit corporation.
