Beginning Tai Chi promotes health and relaxation through a series of flowing, gentle movements. Often referred to as a “moving meditation,” Tai Chi develops balance, flexibility, strength, and focus. Classes will offer easy-to-follow warm-up exercises (including Qi Gong) and the teaching of principles and sequences for this “soft martial art.” There will be focus on breathing, posture and fluid movement throughout. Students will learn the “10 Form,” a ten movement form serving as an introduction to Tai Chi. All are welcome – no Tai Chi experience necessary.
John, Angela and Peggy are a team of collaborative instructors. Among them, they have over sixty years of experience as students and leaders of Yang style Tai Chi.
