Let's celebrate Nowruz, the Persian New Year observed historically by the Iranian people, but is now celebrated by many ethnicities worldwide. This festival based on the Northern Hemisphere spring equinox marks the first day of the new year on the Iranian calendar. The event is co-sponsored by Benjamin Gaither Center and the Asbury Methodist Village held at the center allows us to learn about customs, traditions, norms and practices through performances, artifacts, and a traditional food tasting.
