About this event
Three IN-PERSON Sessions April 10, 17, 24 This engaging three-part course is designed for curious minds eager to explore the fascinating world of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Participants will gain a clear understanding of what large language models (LLMs) are and how they power today's cutting-edge AI technologies. Hands-on sessions will provide opportunities to experiment with popular AI tools and applications, making the topic accessible and practical. Thought-provoking discussions will delve into the future of AI, examining its potential societal impacts and ethical considerations, while exploring the philosophy of mind as it relates to machine intelligence. No prior technical knowledge is required—just bring your curiosity and an open mind! Drew Ferguson, Brenau's outgoing Director of Assessment, lives on a family farm in Gainesville with his wife Nichole, son Ollie, and three furbabies. He has been fascinated with artificial intelligence since he started studying it as part of his bachelors and masters degrees in computer science. Drew is excited to bring an updated report on the state of AI to the BULLI community and get participants up and running with this incredible technology!
