About this event
This 5-day/4-night ski and snowboard trip to Copper Mountain Resort in Colorado runs from Saturday, March 23rd to Wednesday, March 27th, and is offered to students in grades 8-12. It is mainly for students who are intermediate to advanced skiers/snowboarders. At least one lesson is required regardless of ability level. Students will be responsible for daily upkeep of their unit including cleaning, doing dishes, and doing laundry. There will be opportunities to walk around the village, play games, shop, swim, and participate in other recreational activities in addition to their time on the slopes. This specific package is for students who have their own ski/snowboard equipment (will not need to rent equipment) and will be bringing it with them. Students will need a helmet as we require a helmet to be worn at all times while on the slopes. Both packages include round-trip airfare, lodging, transportation, one ski/snowboard lesson, lift tickets, lodging, and food. Students can bring up to 5 total bags for this package. One ski bag with their skis or snowboard, one boot bag (if needed), one duffel bag with all their clothes, one carry-on bag (backpack), and one personal item (small backpack or purse). Itinerary Day 1 (Saturday) Meet (time TBD) at the airport (IAD, DCA, or BWI) three hours before departure time. Once the full group has arrived we check luggage and fly to Denver International Airport. From Denver, we will shuttle to our condos and walk around as a group and become familiar with the location. Days 2 - 4 Wake up and eat breakfast at 8:00 AM. Leave to ski around 9:00 AM. Groups check-in at the lodge at 12:00 PM for lunch and then after the lifts close 4:30 PM. Students have to stay in groups while skiing. Dinner will be around 7:00 PM. Lights out at 10:30 PM. Day 5 (Wednesday) Pack up and leave (time TBD) to arrive at the Denver International Airport three hours before the departure time. Meet families at the arrivals gate (TBD).
