Yoga With Weights blends yoga-inspired movement with light weights and strength training to improve stability, balance, and functional strength. This class combines mindful movement and resistance training to help participants build strength that supports mobility, posture, bone density, and joint stability. Flowing sequences incorporating light weights and breath-centered movement help develop coordination and body awareness in an approachable and energizing way. The pace is supportive and adaptable, with modifications offered for all experience levels. What to Bring: comfortable clothes, and a bottle of water. We encourage participants to bring a yoga mat if possible, however all supplies are available onsite. Our highly qualified/certified instructor is excited to meet everyone and will ensure an educational, safe, and FUN experience! This Fitness class will be held at Scott Key Center. Scott Key Center is located at 1050 Rocky Springs Road, Frederick, MD 21702 Parking is available at the front of the building, at the front island of the parking lot. Look for our Parks and Rec signs to enter the facility at the front of the building. Staff onsite will direct you to our activity room. HOW TO REGISTER: Select “Enroll Now”, choose the participant, and pick the specific dates you wish to attend—only those dates will be included in your fee. Add the class to your cart, answer the custom questions and complete payment to finalize registration.
