Knitting 101: True BeginnersNo experience needed. Learn the foundations of knitting and complete your first project!In this warm and welcoming class, brand-new knitters will learn all the basics: how to cast on, knit, purl, measure gauge, read simple patterns, and fix common mistakes. Students will create a cotton dishcloth knitted on the bias with a garter-stitch border—an ideal project to practice increases, decreases,texture, and following instructions. By the end of the course, students will have a finished dishcloth and the skills to begin their next knitting adventure.Skills learned: Cast on, knit, purl, increases, decreases, gauge, reading patterns, finishing techniques.
