Note: This is registration for CAST for Disney's Newsies (Payment Plan 2 of 2).
For the spring of 2026, the Star Bright Players will produce Disney’s Newsies, the Disney film turned Tony-winning Broadway hit that inspires everyone to seize the day. Set in turn-of-the century New York City and inspired by a true story, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged "newsies." When titans of publishing raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack rallies newsies from across the city to strike against the unfair conditions and fight for what's right!
Rehearsals will be Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 5:30-8:30pm beginning Wednesday, February 25, 2026 plus 3 weekend afternoon rehearsals on Saturday, February 28, Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 19. There will be no rehearsal March 10-11. Tech week (mandatory) is Sunday - Wednesday, April 26-29.
There will be 4 performances April 30 - May 3, 2026 at the Williamson County Performing Arts Center as follows:Thursday, April 30 - 7pmFriday, May 1 - 7pmSunday, May 3 - 2pm and 7pm
Disney’s Newsies is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International. All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com
