Do you have a creative child that gets bored easily in the winter months? Here is a challenge for you...let's create a new sport from scratch! Children can use up to 5 pieces of equipment (including existing sport equipment or items used around your house), or they can choose not to use any equipment at all. Requirements for submission:

• Sport must have a unique name.
• Must list the number of players needed and space required.
• Come up with a set of rules (including any boundaries & what is allowed/what is not allowed). Not to exceed 10 rules.
• There needs to be a scoring system in place.
• Written explanation of how to play and how the winner is determined.
• Video submission (under 5 minutes), introducing yourself and your sport and why we should choose you as our Invent a Sport winner!
• Be creative and have fun!

Submissions are due Monday, March 2 by 4:00pm. Please note: The top 3 choices will be put to a vote through our Facebook page! Voting will run March 16-20. Winner will be announced the following week. Open to ages 8-13 years. Please email Beth Nagel at bnagel@frankfortparks.org if you are interested in participating or for additional rules.
