Event details and schedule
TRINITY 5000 SUMMER SERIES INFO
Due to the CDC and the State of Texas guidelines, we have decided to cap each Trinity 5000 Summers Series weekly race at 200 participants until further notice. We can have over 200 participants, however for the first couple of weeks we want to ensure that social distancing is being practiced successfully. This will need to be a complete team effort. We would like to have temperature checks for all registered participants before the start of the run to reduce the risk of someone participating with an unknown fever. We will give each compliant temperature checked participant a distinct wristband to show they are not running a fever and compliant.
We do understand a temperature check may not necessary be “required” through the CDC Guidelines. However, we want to strongly encourage your cooperation for the health and safety of all participants. Please help us make this a successful TEAM EFFORT.
We will practice social distancing throughout the event by “recommending” each registered participant to wear a mask at the start of the 5K each week and dispose of the mask shortly after the start of the race when they feel the crowd has disbursed enough. We will have a trashcan approximately 100-400 meters away from the start to dispose of temporary masks. And, unlike past years, we will NOT have a gun-time-only start. We will have the start chip-timed to allow runners to distance themselves at the start accordingly and still have an accurate time. We will line up according to your pace along the trails for the start. We will start in quick waves to limit the crowding at the start line.
We encourage all participants to preregister online before the event each week to be guaranteed entry and to eliminate standing in a crowded line to register. Also, after 200 participants have registered each week, online registration will close until the next race. Therefore, we strongly recommend registering online as soon as possible.
We will have packet pick up on Wednesday June 3, from 12pm to 6pm at Luke’s Locker at the Shops in Clearfork. Participants that register for the complete series will use the same unique sturdy custom bib each week to eliminate standing in crowded lines each week for a new bib.
Races are held every Thursday evening (June 4 – August 20). For the first and last race (June 4th & August 20th) of the 2020 series, the race will be held at The Woodshed @ 3201 Riverfront Drive in Fort Worth. (We will move back to the original venue for weeks 2-11 of the Summer Series.)

It’s a summer tradition. Runners and race walkers from all over the Metroplex gather Thursday evenings Downtown Fort Worth to run and walk 5000 meters ( 5K or 3.1 miles). Whether you are a competitive runner, mid-pack runner, jogger or walker everyone has a good time.
See some old friends and make new ones. It’s the summer place for active people and way cooler than television reruns. It’s also a family event with a free 1K Kids Fun Run.
After the race, adults can meet informally under the trees for the infamous Arbor Society (formerly the Bridge Club). We don’t plant trees or collect leaves, but socialize and exaggerate our running abilities. Bring your lawn chair and cooler.
POINT SERIES & SERIES SURVIVOR AWARDS
There will be NO individual awards distributed weekly at the end of each race. This year we will tabulate the age groups results as usual for each race and post the results live during each race online. There will be no physical printouts of the age group standings to eliminate gatherings.
However, there will be point series awards given out at the end of the Summer Series for the Trinity 5000 Point Series. Point Series Standings will be posted weekly after week 3 at the race site and online.
Trinity 5000 Point Series Age Group categories are listed below:
