Private Skating Lessons are available in a one-on-one setting where students receive instruction for 30 minutes, once a week for 5 weeks. Instructors use the Active Communities Learn to Skate Program to teach skills such as balance, stopping, turning, and getting more comfortable on the ice. Instructors will vary and participants are not guaranteed to have the same instructor during their full lesson set. Makeup lessons will be provided if the City of Fort St John cancels or has a scheduling error. Missed lessons by the participant will not be offered a make-up lesson. Due to limited instructors and ice availability, these lessons are recommended for those who haven't had an opportunity to take it in the past - please avoid registering if you've had an opportunity to take lessons this season. No more than 2 participants per instructor, and skaters must be close in their respective skating abilities. Please note there is no skating lesson on January 18 due to a Speed Skating event.
