About this event
Description
Experience an evening filled with rich flavors and vibrant traditions at “Taste of Culture: Ukrainian”!
This special event, held at the beautiful Fort Frances Museum & Cultural Centre, invites you to enjoy delicious Ukrainian cuisine while exploring the cultural stories and heritage behind it.
On the menu: A choice between two savory dinner options, including traditional Ukrainian borscht with pampushky or cabbage rolls, paired with meat patties, rustic-style potatoes, as well as a fresh vegetable salad and fermented cabbage with beetroot. Complete your meal with one of two delightful Ukrainian desserts: nalysnyky (Ukrainian crepes) or apple pyrig (pie).
Between bites, discover the history and meaning behind these beloved dishes and learn how food brings people together in Ukrainian culture. Whether you are a long-time fan of Ukrainian cuisine or looking to try something new, this evening promises a warm and flavorful journey.
Seating is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot — and get ready to say “Dyakuyu!”
Please inform the Museum of any allergies or dietary restrictions no later than one week before the event (by February 19th, 2025). Please note that children’s portions are not available for the dishes provided in this program. All meals are served in standard adult portions.
