About this event

Description

Get ready for a welcoming and meaningful introduction to language and identity! In this special lesson, children will be gently introduced to how to say hello and share simple introductions in Anishinaabemowin, taught by Waking Up Ojibwe. This program is free to join and open to families. We’ll then create our own “All About Niin (Me)” books, where each child can celebrate who they are through drawing, simple words, and creative expression.Through stories, art, and playful learning, children ages 3–6 and their grown-ups will explore language, culture, and self-identity in a warm and engaging way. It’s a joyful opportunity to learn, create, and build confidence while celebrating each unique learner in our circle.
