Are These 4 Popular Diets Worth It?

Juicing

Juicing is about drinking your way to better health, and introducing more vegetables—yes, even the ones you hate—into your diet without the taste. The juicing craze also claims to make those fruits and veggies easier to digest by removing the insoluble fiber.

Worth It?

This craze is a little too good to be true and simplistic in nature. Losing all that fiber isn’t so great for keeping you full, which can make it difficult to lose weight, if that’s your goal. Buying tons and tons of fresh produce each week also makes this diet particularly expensive.

Vegan

Veganism is often associated with an ethical motivation, specifically the desire to end cruelty to animals, but it’s recently become popular due to its health-inducing benefits. These benefits include lowering cholesterol and blood pressure, as well as increasing antioxidants from all the fruit and veggie consumption.

Worth It?

The vegan diet can be difficult to follow given its strict nature, and the loss of essential vitamins and minerals from animal products can be a problem for some. If you’re adamant about giving veganism a shot, we recommend transitioning gradually and looking into other protein sources to keep your diet varied.
