Wilderness Medicine: Conquer the Great Outdoors (ages 7-12) Students will learn to manage outdoor challenges, including insect and snake bites, and poisonous plants, alongside skills in hike preparation, map reading, compass use, identifying animal tracks and wildlife encounters. They’ll also master survival techniques such as splint setting, tourniquet use, water purification, hypothermia care, and emergency bandana uses. Additionally, they’ll cover how to respond to severe weather like tornadoes, hurricanes, and wildfires, and how to signal for help. At the end of the program, campers will graduate and be ready to conquer the great outdoors with confidence! This camp takes place at Old Pelham Town Hall.
