Quenching the Wild: The Role of Wildlife Drinkers in Conservation
This special program is being offered as part of the Flagstaff Festival of Science.

The Flagstaff Festival of Science provides a collection of free science focused educational events during ’the best 10 days of the year’. We are fortunate to provide this educational program as part of this year's festival.

Discover the vital role of wildlife drinkers in Arizona and their importance to wildlife conservation. This presentation will explore what wildlife drinkers are, how they function, where they are located, how they are constructed and maintained, and the critical role they play in supporting Arizona's native wildlife.

Following the indoor presentation, participants will travel to Fort Tuthill's newly installed wildlife drinker for an on-site demonstration and discussion. Please meet at the Home Economics building at Fort Tuthill for the classroom portion of the program. Be prepared to spend approximately 30 minutes outdoors during the field visit to the wildlife drinker.
