Description
In this independent study class, embrace the messiness of both your materials and your thoughts, all while learning techniques that range from hand-building to wheel throwing. Whether you’re crafting a functional piece or a conversation starter (or a little of both), this class is your chance to mold your ideas into tangible form.
Grab your apron and let’s get our hands dirty—literally!
Topics Covered
In this self-guided course, students can work to master existing skills and techniques, or challenge themselves to learn something new and expand their knowledge. Each student will set a goal for the class and check in with the instructor at milestone points. As students work independently, we will also take time to come together and discuss each other’s work. Students are encouraged to bring clay questions, concerns and desired demos to class
Please Note, we do not allow outside clay at the Fishers Art Center. You will be prompted to purchase clay at registration/check out. This clay will be on your class shelf on your first day of class.
Our studio has a class set of tools that students can use during the class sessions.
