CNAs are vital to the healthcare team. This 130-hour, hands-on program teaches essential technical and interpersonal skills for direct patient care, including: ● Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility) ● Monitor vitals (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pres- sure) ● Ensure patient comfort and safety (body mechanics, infection control) ● Provide basic nursing care (wound care, specimen collection) ● Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff ● Graduates may take the Maine CNA Competency Test — the testing fee is covered. Mandatory in-person orientation is required.
