CNAs are vital members of the healthcare team. This 130-hour, hands-on program teaches essential technical and interpersonal skills for direct patient care, including: • Assisting with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility) • Monitoring vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) • Ensuring patient comfort and safety (body mechanics, infection control) • Providing basic nursing care (wound care, specimen collection) Communicating effectively with patients, families, and staff • Graduates are eligible to take the Maine CNA Competency Test — the testing fee is covered.
