Intro to Oil Painting, ages 18+
Saturdays, 9:30am - 12:00pmSeptember 26 - November 14, 2026 (8 weeks)
Students are required to purchase their own brushes and bring optional household materials. All other supplies will be provided.
Required Brushes: Size 4, Size 6, Size 8
Recommended Brushes: Size 10
Recommended Brush Type: Long Handle Brights, Flats, and/or Filberts. Synthetic or natural.
Suggested Household Items:
One small airtight plastic container (sandwich size)
Paper towels or cloth rags
This course is for beginner students or those with some oil painting experience who would like to expand upon their skills. This class will include research and art history all while learning and exploring the fundamentals of oil painting. You will be instructed through lectures, demonstrations, and one-on-one instruction. Students will learn from observation and progress to become skilled and confident in creating work of art with oil paint.
Students are welcome, and encouraged, to repeat the class.
