By the end of the course, students will be able to critically assess typography and make informed, concept-driven design decisions. Mastering Layout & Grids Master the fundamentals of layout and grid systems to create clear, engaging designs for print and digital media. Learn how structure, hierarchy, focal points, leading lines, and negative space work together to guide viewers and enhance visual communication. Through the study of column systems, compositional principles, and professional grid techniques, students will gain the skills to design layouts with balance, clarity, and sophistication. Mastering Color Theory and Application Develop a strong foundation in color theory and application by exploring color science, perception, psychology, and harmony. Learn to create balanced color palettes, apply hierarchy using principles like the 60–30–10 rule, and design effectively for both light and dark modes with accessibility in mind. Through practical exercises and real-world examples, students will gain the skills to plan and implement color strategies that enhance websites, apps, branding, and other visual projects.
