Feeling Lucky this summer? Finding yourself in the mood for al little sparkle and excitement? Join EPRD's Active Adult Programs for a fun-filled day at the Casino! The lights are bright, the slots are ringing, and the good times are waiting to be had by all!
Join us as we head up the mountain to Black Hawk, CO to spend the day at The Lodge Casino, known for its mouthwatering dining options, stunning views, and the hottest slot machines this side of the Mississippi! Whether you join us to take part in the gambling and games, dining at one of the many restaurants or buffets, or simply want to get out of the house-we want YOU to come with us!

Note: In order to keep registration costs low, Participants will be responsible for purchasing any and all food/dining services, Gambling/Gaming Credits, or other purchases while at the Casino. Snacks and Drinks will be available to everyone while on the bus going and coming back to BPRC.
The registration costs for this event include:
- Transportation from BPRC to The Lodge Casino and back
- Supervision and help as needed during the Excursion
- Snacks and Drinks on the way up and down the mountain
- ...and so much more!
Please Note: This event is considered LIGHT in terms of difficulty. The Lodge Casino property takes place in a fully paved, ADA accessible location. However, all attendees must be able to mobilize themselves, whether by mechanical assistance (wheelchair, walker, cane, mobility aid) or on their own without assistance from EPRD staff. There will be a good bit of walking involved in this outing. We have VERY LIMITED spots for those using wheelchairs, if you would like to reserve one of these spots for Wheelchair access, you must reach out to Nick Braden (AA Program Coordinator) to confirm that reservation.
Event Schedule:
- Please arrive at BPRC (Bristlecone Lounge) by 9:45am and be ready to load up and hit the road by 10:00am.
- We will leave BPRC for the Casino by 10:15am, arriving at the parking area by 11:00am.
- Attendees are recommended to bring their own funding for purchases at any of the Restaurants or Dining Areas and for gambling/gaming credits.
- Once arriving at the Casino, all participants are encouraged to explore all that The Lodge has to offer, and are not required to stay with the group as a whole. We want you to get out there and make the day yours! Staff will be rotating around and helping out and checking in with participants throughout the day as needed and are available for assistance throughout the afternoon.
- We will be exiting the Casino and loading up on the bus around 3:30pm. We will then make our way back up to Evergreen and be back at BPRC no later than 4:15PM. Please have all transportation plans for getting home in place prior to leaving that morning.
