Steeped in Fun: A Day at Celestial Seasonings!

Calling all tea lovers, curious adventurers, and anyone who thinks a good day should include a little caffeine! Join us for a fun-filled day trip to Celestial Seasonings in Boulder for a behind-the-scenes look at one of Colorado’s most famous tea companies.

We’ll take a guided tour through the tea factory and discover how those familiar tea bags go from ingredients to the delicious blends we enjoy at home. Along the way, we’ll learn about the history of Celestial Seasonings, see how the teas are produced, and experience the sights and wonderfully fragrant smells of the tea factory. And yes—there will be opportunities to sample some tea!

After our tour, we’ll head out for lunch together, giving everyone a chance to relax, visit with friends, and enjoy a delicious meal before we make our way home. We will be dining at Atomic Cowboy in Golden for lunch, which is home to Atomic Cowboy (burgers), Denver Biscuit Co., and Fat Sully's NY Pizza, giving everyone their choice of food to order from! Please note: everyone will be responsible for their own bill for lunch on this outing, please be sure to bring funding for food after the Tea Tour.

Please Note: This event is considered LIGHT in terms of difficulty. The Factory boasts a fully paved, ADA accessible location. However, all attendees must be able to mobilize themselves, whether by mechanical assistance (wheelchair, walker, cane, mobility aid) or on their own without assistance from EPRD staff. We have VERY LIMITED spots for those using wheelchairs, if you would like to reserve one of these spots for Wheelchair access, you must reach out to Nick Braden (AA Program Coordinator) to confirm that reservation.

We will meet as a group at the Bristlecone Lounge at BPRC at 10:30am and will depart for Boulder CO shortly thereafter to begin our tour at the Tea Factory. Immediately following our tour, we will be heading to (enter Restaurant here) for a delicious lunch, and then will be heading back to the Buchanan Rec Center for dropoff. For all attendees: please make sure you have a ride to the BPRC, and pickup scheduled ahead of our departure that morning. For those needing to be dropped off at any of our Bus Route Locations, please specify that when you register your spot online.

Come spend the day with us, learn something new, enjoy some great food, and follow your nose to a whole lot of tea! We hope to see you there!
