Come join EPRD and Active Adult Programs for an afternoon of Boating Fun! Jump on board as we paddle, relax and enjoy the view from the best seat on the water!
Looking for a calm and enjoyable outdoor activity? Our Active Adults Day on the Lake is a wonderful way to connect with nature, build confidence, and spend time with others in a supportive, easygoing setting. Whether you're a beginner or a Kayaking pro, this group experience is all about enjoying being on the water at your own pace.
We will meet at the Evergreen Lake Parking lot near the Boat Rental Facility at 2:15pm and will outfit everyone with the proper boat, equipment, and safety devices. From there, we will spend our time paddling around on the lake, including playing several games and going over essential skills to be successful with Kayaking. Instructors are happy to help educate participants on the "how to's" for each session, as well as lead the group on and around the lake.
Note: Our instructors are HEAVILY trained to work with Active Adults of all physical abilities and ADA requirements. We strive to make these afternoons on the water available for everyone, regardless of cognitive or physical ability. If you would like to attend, we will make a way for you! Please reach out with any questions about accessibility.
Each participant MUST register online to attend each session, which will include the equipment rental, time on the lake, and instruction/supervision from the instructors. Cost to register is $25 per person, we hope to see you there!
