McGaw YMCA Active Older AdultsLife Massage Workshop

Join former YMCA staff Dori Conn, who carries 40 years of massage therapy practice, as she shares this unique life massage experience derived from the pandemic shutdown.
Participants in the life massage workshop will learn the fundamentals of using special image cards to comprehend their processes, resolve dilemmas, and make decisions in a way they understand and feel good about. We will discuss the basics of this cleverly designed tool, like the structure of the deck, suit associations, simple numerology, and tarot etiquette, as well as things like why the Death card is not a “bad” card. Most importantly, members will have the chance to see some decks, practice forming questions and using the cards to answer them, then sharing with the group how it went, and hearing back what others notice that might expand or enrich the experience. Participants will leave the workshop with an idea of how to work intuitively with tarot to help guide their practical lives and delve into deeper questions.
