Enjoy the hike up to Timberline Falls, then scramble up a falls to two gorgeous, alpine lakes below Taylor Glacier & Sharkstooth. Enjoy awesome views of the Loch Vale and beyond from the top of the falls that attract open-air painters and photographers. Snowfields often persist through mid-June.
Bring at least one liter of water, snacks, lunch, rain gear, an extra layer of clothes, hat and gloves, sunscreen, sunglasses, hiking boots, and good cheer. Bring a Rocky Mountain National Park pass or money to contribute to the park entrance fee. Additionally, bring money to chip in for gas for the driver.

To meet the prerequisite for A-D hikes, you must have completed without difficulty a YMCA of the Rockies (Hikemaster-lead) hike of no more than two grades lower within two weeks before the hike. This means a C hike is the prerequisite for an A hike; a D hike is a prerequisite for B hike; an E hike is a prerequisite for a C hike, and an F hike meets the requirements for a D hike.

Hikes graded A-D must have three guests, and hikes graded E-H must have two guests to go. This is for safety reasons. Hikes will be canceled if too few guests sign up.

A variety of circumstances may change the schedule of this hike. It is imperative that all hikers check in at the Mountain Center hiking desk (Base Camp) no later than 5 pm the day before the hike. Bring two liters of water, snacks and lunch, rain gear, an extra layer of clothes, hat and gloves, sunscreen, sunglasses and hiking boots. Bring park pass, gas money for driver and good cheer.
