Join us for a special ArtVenture experience as we explore Old Town San Diego State Historic Park during its vibrant Día de los Muertos celebration. Our trip includes a guided Historic Altar Tour, time to browse unique shops, and opportunities to enjoy the colorful cultural displays throughout the park. A meaningful blend of art, history, and tradition!

Felt Sugar SkullLean into the traditions of Dia De Los Muertos by making re-useable sugar skulls. Participants will make inspired felt sugar skulls. Basic stitching. All materials included.

When you arrive, please come to the Encinitas Community & Senior Center lobby for check-in. We will load the bus as a group, leaving promptly at 10:00am.
In addition to the walking tour of Old Town San Diego State Historic Park, the group will make felt sugar skulls at Pacific View Art Center. Lean into the traditions of Dia De Los Muertos by making re-useable sugar skulls. Participants will make inspired felt sugar skulls. Basic stitching. All materials included.
Please bring your own lunch to enjoy! We expect to return to the Encinitas Community & Senior Center by 4:00pm.
Please note that this program includes a 45-minute, outdoor walking tour on uneven terrain including no more than one flight of stairs, gravel, and dirt covered areas. During the tour, participants will visit four historic sites led by a state park interpreter and will have the opportunity to ask questions and pause for water and restroom breaks. Audio listening devices available upon request. After the tour concludes, you are free to explore Old Town San Diego State Historic Park and local shops, but you must return to the bus at the predetermined location by 2:50pm to depart for the Encinitas Community & Senior Center.
