This class is open to parents and caregivers of infants from 3-4 weeks to crawling. Infant massage helps a baby relax and release accumulated tensions; increases bonding and a desire to nurture between parents and child; and helps strengthen and regulate the respiratory, circulatory and gastrointestinal functions. Infant massage is a powerful resource for both baby and family. Instruction consists of three weekly, hour-long sessions in which you'll learn and practice strokes for a full body massage. In addition, short routines are taught to help relieve gas pains and chest congestion. Sessions are cumulative with a make-up offered in week 4. Dress in comfortable clothes for sitting on the floor. Please bring blankets, big towels, etc. for baby to lie on. Massage oil will be provided. Instructor: Marianne Reis
