The HCRP Trail Hike program features many historic sights and panoramic views. Trip leaders interpret points of interest and keep a moderate pace.
Participants should be in good shape, have good balance and depth perception to be able to hike two miles over rocky hills without a break and the ability to complete the distance indicated. Fee includes van or school bus transportation from the Park & Ride lot at the intersection of Rte. 100 and Long Gate Pkwy, Ellicott City. Under 16 must be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian who is also registered for the Trail Hike.
Detailed information is emailed to participants in the week prior to the hike date. Closed-toed shoes required for all participants at all times. All participants should check the program status line after 7am the day of the Trail Hike, regardless of current conditions (410) 313-4451, press option 1 THEN option 3). Trip return time may vary depending on the hike distance, traffic and speed of the group.

If you know in advance that you will be unable to attend a Trail Hike you are registered for, please notify us (email preferred) as soon as possible prior to the hike date. All participants must be pre-registered and on the roster for the hike. While it is possible to switch registrations prior to the hike date, we cannot accept switches or Wait Listed participants on the morning of the trip.
