In the 29th century, Earth is a polluted wasteland abandoned by humanity 700 years earlier after corporate-driven environmental collapse, leaving trash-compacting WALL-E robots behind. Only one remains active, having developed a personality while surviving by salvaging parts and keeping a pet cockroach for company. His lonely routine changes when EVE, a probe searching for life, arrives; WALL-E befriends her, and when she discovers a living plant, she is taken aboard a spaceship—with WALL-E secretly following—to the human Starliner Axiom. This is an animated film.
