Join fellow members for a free movie and complimentary popcorn!Otto Anderson, a 63-year-old widower in suburban Pittsburgh, is left bitter, isolated, and suicidal after the death of his wife Sonya and his forced retirement, repeatedly attempting to end his life while haunted by memories of their love, losses, and shared hardships. Each attempt is interrupted by growing involvement with those around him—especially his warm, persistent neighbors. As Otto confronts grief, guilt, and long-standing grudges, he ultimately finds renewed purpose by defending his neighbors from exploitation, opening up about his past, and rediscovering connection and compassion. Though he later dies of heart failure, Otto leaves behind a legacy of generosity, community, and love, having quietly rebuilt a family among the people who refused to let him disappear.
Relax, enjoy a great film, and spend time with friends—hope to see you there!
