For students: Do you enjoy speeches, debating, acting, and performing? Join our after-school club to practice your communication skills and build confidence through fun activities! No experience is necessary and all are welcome! For Families: The Practice Space is a Bay Area education nonprofit, and our mission is to build confidence and community through communication skill development to advance equity, create inclusive environments, and elevate systemically marginalized voices Our program objectives are to help students improve their public speaking and communication skills, while also helping them feel cared for and ready to speak authentically and effectively for a public audience. Participants speak clearly about personally meaningful topics, give feedback to peers, explore complex issues, and feel valued by their community. As outcomes, we ultimately aim to: 1) Increase student engagement 2) Promote student belonging and confidence 3) Improve literacy skills 4) Strengthen youth voice, youth leadership skills, and career and life readiness
