Description

Join a ranger at Beverly Triton Nature Park to celebrate Maryland Day. Participants will learn about the Piscataway's relationship to the shores of what is now Beverly Triton Nature Park, during the early woodland period. Learn about the fascinating history of beach resorts on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay from their rise in the 1920s-1930s to their fall in the 1960s-1970s. We will hike two miles to explore various historical sites and discuss their significance. All ages are welcome. The hike will take place on natural surface trails that may be uneven and/or muddy. Portions of the hike may be on sand and may not be suitable for strollers/walkers/wheelchairs, etc. Restrooms will be available at the beginning and end of the hike, but not during the hike.
