About this event
A well-developed setting can set your story apart and make it even more immersive for the audience. In this six-week class, learn about the process of crafting an original world from initial idea to concept art and beyond. Explore your world and figure out what makes it tick, find reference and inspiration, and refine your ideas from notes and thumbnails to finished concept drawings and more. This class is intended for students interested in learning how to create worlds and expressive art. This class is open for students with very little or no experience in art and animation. Student projects will be created entirely using traditional drawing materials like paper, pencils, pens, and paints. During the course, students will also receive in-process feedback, watch technical presentations, and learn personal career advice from teachers to further comprehend the field of animation and visual development as well as take their personal projects to the next level.  New to WDFM Classes or Questions about Classes Unsure of which class is right for your student? Beginner classes are a wonderful place to start or feel free to contact our team at studio@wdfmuseum.org so we can help you better find the right fit.
