About this event
Join us for this six-week class as we delve into modelmaking just like animation studios of the past and present. After exploring fundamentals such as silhouette and shape language, students will design their own character and then transform their sketches into a clay 3D model.   This class is intended for students interested in learning character design and the first steps in the process of animation. This class is recommended for students with very little or no experience in art and animation. Student projects will be created entirely using drawings and clay.  During the course, students will also receive in-process feedback, watch technical presentations, and learn personal career advice from teachers to further comprehend the field of animation and visual development as well as take their personal projects to the next level.  New to WDFM Classes or Questions about Classes Unsure of which class is right for your student? Beginner classes are a wonderful place to start or feel free to contact our team at studio@wdfmuseum.org so we can help you better find the right fit.
