About this event
Early Bird Special: $985 (ends May 25, 2026) — Price increases to $1,060 Grade Level: 10 – 12 Length: June 8 – July 17, 2026 Final Exam: June 26 (Semester 1) | July 17, 2026 (Semester 2) NO SCHOOL: June 19 & July 3 Essential Skills: Mastery of Algebra 2 or Advanced Algebra 2 Graduation: Fulfills one year of math graduation requirement College Prep: Fulfills CSU/UC math requirement with “C” or better This class is not designed for all learners. Please note that it follows a flipped/hybrid instructional model (similar to Dublin High School). Students are expected to watch pre-recorded lessons before class to learn key concepts. Class time will then be used to review material, ask questions, and apply concepts through practice.. Students will study advanced functions and trigonometry, including polynomial and rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, rates of change in functions, vectors, matrices, and an introduction to limits. A strong understanding of Algebra 2 is required to be successful in Precalculus. Students who select this course will not be eligible to also take the AP Precalculus course for credit. Course Structure & Homework: This one-year course is condensed into just six weeks, so it is very fast-paced. Students should expect 2–4 hours of homework and at-home study per day. A portion of learning happens through instructional videos that students watch. In-person sessions then focus on instruction, guided practice, and dedicated time for students to ask questions and work through homework with teacher support. Each day in the DPIE program is equivalent to one week of instruction in a regular school year. Enrollment Requirement: Please complete the Non-District Course Intent form when enrolling in this class to notify DUSD of your intent to accelerate in the 2026–27 school year. If taking the class for enrichment only, the form is not required.
