Taught by Rebecca Gutierrez, John Green Elementary School teacher with DUSD! Join Jack and Annie for two exciting summer adventures! Students will dive into Afternoon on the Amazon and Dolphins at Daybreak, bringing each story to life through hands-on learning and creativity. Throughout the program, students will explore the Amazon rainforest and the ocean using a mix of arts and crafts with a variety of materials, engaging videos, science experiments, and nonfiction reading. Language Arts activities will help deepen their connection to the stories and characters as they follow Jack and Annie on their journeys. Students will also take part in a Reader’s Theater experience for each book, performing selected scenes while creating props to enhance their mini performances. The adventure will conclude with a fun STEM challenge, where students will use their engineering skills to design and build their very own miniature treehouse!
