Taught by Gabe Manalac, Fallon Middle School teacher with DUSD! Public Speaking 101 is a dynamic, hands-on course designed to help participants gain confidence in one of life’s most valuable skills. While public speaking is a common fear, it’s also essential for success in school, careers, and everyday interactions. In this course, students learn practical strategies to organize their ideas, manage anxiety, and engage an audience effectively. They practice both argumentative and informative speaking, with an emphasis on clear structure, strong delivery, and confident expression. Through interactive activities and supportive guidance, students transform fear into confidence—and discover the power of their own voice.
