About this event
This 6 week session will dive into how to make utilitarian objects that are beautiful and satisfying to use! Let's make a butter dish with a lid, a coffee cup, a matching pourover, practice our trimming stills to make things light, form a bottle, mixing bowls, and more! You will use skills learned in Wheel 1 (throwing cylinders, trimming, and attaching handles), as well as other classes, to advance towards combining simple elements to create utilitarian vessels! This class will be suitable for intermediate as well as advanced students alike. If you are comfortable centering, and pulling walls, this class could be for you! Enrollment in this class allows students unlimited access to the open studio for the duration of the class, and provides the students with one bag of clay, and one class per week. *MUST HAVE COMPLETED A "INTRO TO CLAY ARTS" or "WHEEL 1" CLASS BEFORE ENROLLING IN THIS CLASS. This class will be instructed by Charlotte Edminster! Teton Arts Members: Don't forget to enter your member discount code at checkout for this class! If you are not yet a member, you can become a member here: www.tetonarts.org/membership Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel your registration for any reason, we request two weeks' notice to allow us time to fill the spot from our waitlist. All cancellations result in a 6% processing fee for a refund. If you can transfer your registration to a future class or save the credit on your account, no processing fee applies.
