About this event
Ready to dive deeper into fused glass? This four-week progressive course is designed to give you the skills, confidence, and hands-on experience to begin creating independently in our glass studio. Over the course of four weeks, students will build a strong technical foundation in fused glass, exploring the full fuse process while learning essential cutting techniques—including straight and curved cuts. You’ll develop design skills through guided projects that introduce layering, composition, and color planning, and you’ll learn how to create work for both flat presentation and slumping into functional forms. Each session builds on the last, reinforcing technique while expanding creative possibilities. By the end of the series, students will understand kiln firing approaches, project planning, and the step-by-step strategy needed to confidently design and execute their own fused glass pieces. This course is ideal for beginners ready to fully immerse themselves in the medium, or for students who have taken an introductory workshop and want a more comprehensive experience. Completion of this series fulfills the prerequisite for participation in Open Studio. Members: don’t forget to enter your discount code at checkout to receive your member pricing.
