About this event
Instructor: Dr Joshua McNaughton Dr. Josh McNaughton brought you the Food Plots 101 class. He is now offering an opportunity to expand your knowledge and learn how you can better manage your land for whitetail deer. Learn the basics about hinge cutting, improving bedding habitat, planting beyond forbs, creating edge habitat, and learn about advanced no-till food plot methods that improve soil quality, food availability, and bedding habitat! Make your piece of land into a deer magnet! Dr. McNaughton has been developing food plots in Maine for 20 years, utilizing his extensive knowledge in wildlife biology, ecology, dendrology, and environmental science. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Ecology, a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of Maine, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of New England. Come learn how to select the best location for your plot, learn tips and tricks when choosing the best forbs and plants to sow, how you can prepare your soil for optimized growth, and how to keep your plot healthy. Whether you love wildlife watching, filling your freezer, or putting trophies on your wall, planting your most successful plot this spring starts with Food Plots 101! It does not provide benefits for our students and it does not affect your enrollment in any way. Please click no and complete your registration. If you click yes by mistake, please contact PVAEC as soon as possible so we can help you cancel it.
